Which Sportsbook Has The Best Sports Betting App?

Sports betting apps allow bettors to make a bet, manage their account, and more from almost anywhere. But all sports betting apps are not created equal, so we lay out which one has the best user experience.

In case you have not noticed, the world has gone digital and mobile. Everyone wants to have everything at their fingertips no matter where they are, including the ability to place bets on their favorite sports teams. And thanks to the creation of sports betting mobile apps, now they can do just that. But sports bettors do not just want the ability to bet on the go. They want the process to be quick and seamless. Bettors want all the information they need on hand, and they want the whole experience to be as easy as possible.

Many mobile sports betting apps will provide that experience, but some are better than others. If you are going to do something, you might as well do it with the best. But how do you know which one is the best?

Several factors come into play when answering that question, like how competitive the odds are, the welcome bonus, etc. But since many of those factors are more relevant to ranking sportsbooks in general, we will focus on the apps themselves.

That means zeroing on one thing: the user experience.

It would be easy to go incredibly in-depth in describing mobile sports bets to justify saying one is better than the rest.

How hard is it to place a bet with an app? Do you have to worry about the app crashing? Can you find what you need? Is it hard to navigate and confusing to use? Other things can be factored in as well. But those are some of the major concerns many bettors have regarding mobile apps.

So who has the best mobile sports betting app? Here is our top five:

William Hill: It is hard to find a bad thing to say about the William Hill sports betting app. It’s available for Android and iOS devices, carries the same markets as the desktop site, is quick and responsive, and very easy to use. The user interface is not cluttered with junk making it easy to understand and even easier to navigate.

FanDuel: It is a clean, fast, intuitive app that does not leave you wanting much (if anything). If you only wanted to bet with one book, you would be quite happy with the FanDuel mobile app. The odds are as good via the app as on the desktop site, and the app contains all the same markets as well. As long as you have a good internet connection, you will not have any issues with this app.

PointsBet: Easily one of the fastest and most user-friendly in the business. The app has a nice, clean interface which helps make it easier to understand and navigate. It is just as easy to navigate the app to check on your account and do anything else you can do online. If you never wanted to look at the desktop site again, you could do it all from your PointsBet app.

BetMGM: The only negative thing you can say about the BetMGM app is that it is not the prettiest in the business. But does pretty really matter when you are placing a bet? Otherwise, the BetMGM app covers all the bases: the layout is superb, it’s easy to navigate, is quick, stable, and responsive, and it lets you do everything you could from your computer.

DraftKings: Overall, it is a good app. It’s speed is pretty good and it is generally pretty responsive. Like many apps, it lacks in the aesthetic sense. But is that important? Not really. You will not have to deal with any clutter popping up or crowding your screen. The stability is usually good, but you might need to refresh your screen to make sure the lines are current for in-game betting. While the means by which to navigate it are clear, it can be cumbersome and difficult.
