During any vacation, visiting a local brewery is a must. Taste testing beers and ciders makes for a great evening. Not to mention, there’s something to try for just about everyone! From IPAs and stouts to sours and pale ales, every brewery has its own unique offers for you to indulge in. The US has paved the way for breweries, being home to a whopping nine thousand-some and counting.
No matter where you travel to, you’re bound to find a brewery within a reasonable proximity. Seriously. According to the Brewers Association, a majority of Americans live within 10 miles of a craft brewer. America loves its beer!

Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Located in sunny St. Pete is Green Bench Brewing, a hybrid indoor & outdoor location to sip some hops. Whether you prefer to sit inside or outside, this spacious location has a beautiful courtyard and tables inside. Their Sunshine City IPA has been a crowd-pleaser since opening back in 2013, but they have a fully-loaded menu with something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds.

“La Cumbre” means pinnacle, peak, summit; and that’s what La Cumbre Brewing is all about. According to their website, their goal is to produce beers that represent the absolute apex of the art of brewing. And they’ve been doing a pretty good job at it! La Cumbre has tons of great options, but the Elevated IPA is their specialty. Not only did it win a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival, but it was one of their first-ever brewed beers and now dominates 60 percent of the brews.

3 Floyds Brewing is located in Munster, Indiana – a little under an hour drive from Chicago. It’s a small, family-owned business that was founded 24 years ago. And although it’s nested away in the suburbs, 3 Floyds has built quite the reputation for themselves. They’ve been ranked as the best brewery in the world five different times! Metalheads: come one, come all because this is the place for you! Not only do they blare metal music for your listening pleasure, but their whole brand is built around it. They’ve even collaborated with heavy metal bands like Pelican and Skeletonwitch.
Location: Austin, TX
A brewery, kitchen, farm, and event hall – all in one? Count us in! Jester King is a craft brewery that is way ahead of their time. It’s a solar-powered farm that’s located on a 165-acre ranch, which is let alone worth the visit. Their brews have a unique and earthy bite, as they’re crafted with well water, local grains, fruits and vegetables, foraged plants, and native yeast and bacteria. It’s truly like nothing you’ve ever tasted before! Plus, there’s a delicious kitchen if you get hungry as well as frequent community events.
