A former Miss Slovenia pageant participant, Mirjam married professional basketball player, Sasa Doncic, and gave birth to superstar, Luka Doncic. After going through a divorce when Luka was 9 years old, she gained custody of her son and has always been by his side supporting his basketball career throughout Europe and the NBA. Poterbin also owned beauty salons and was a model in Slovenia.

Sonya Curry is no stranger to the sports world. She’s married to former NBA player Dell Curry and has two sons, Steph and Seth, that are currently in the league. Before committing full time to being a mother to her children, she was the founder and President of Christian Montessori School in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Kevin Durant famously attributed his success to his mother Wanda in his emotional speech claiming her as “The Real MVP” after winning the award in 2014. Her passion is to inspire children, single mothers, and communities to reach above their current situation and aim for greatness in life. She has created a motivation platform called “Hope. Dream. Believe. Achieve.” and launched her own philanthropy called Wanda Durant, The Real MVP Charity.

Deborah Phelps (@mamaphelpsh20)

Deborah Phelps has been a lifetime educator, author, and speaker. Since 2012, Phelps has served as the Executive Director of The Education Foundation of the Baltimore County Public Schools. She is considered a master teacher and has served as a school principal. In 2009, she wrote “A Mother For All Seasons: A Memoir” detailing her experience raising three kids as a single mom. It is very evident that she has absolutely crushed motherhood.

Leigh Anne Tuohy (@leighannetuohy)

Adoptive mother of former NFL lineman, Michael Oher, Leigh Anne Tuohy is well known from the movie “The Blind Side”. She is a motivational speaker that has traveled around the world in many different audiences to share her story. Leigh Anne and her husband authored a New York Times best seller called, “In a Heartbeat: Sharing the Power of Cheerful Giving.” In addition, they established their own charity named Making it Happen Foundation in 2010.
